How can metal abrasives better improve processing efficiency?
Both steel shot and steel grit have their uses for different fields.
steel grit sand
for sandblasting
Want your workpiece to shine instantly with a single blast, remove rust without damaging the substrate during processing? As a long-term and efficient manufacturer, we produce high-quality steel metal grit sand products to meet customized customer needs.
Our steel grit sand is a seasoned expert in sandblasting and shot peening.Because it's specifically designed for your needs, you can rest assured. Our customized steel grit blasting is a metal abrasive materials obtained from high-strength carbon steel or alloy steel after a series of processing steps, cutting/spheroidizing, and heat treatment. Generally, high-quality steel grit has a wide range of applications, including rust removal, paint removal, casting cleaning, and surface strengthening (shot peening). It performs particularly well in concrete pretreatment. Commonly used grit particle sizes include G25, G40, G50, G80, and G120. Comprehensive analysis shows that the general performance characteristics of steel metal grits used for sandblasting are durability, recyclability, and high efficiency.

steel metal shot for blasting
Steel shot blasting is a spherical abrasive made of high-quality carbon steel or alloy steel, after cutting, spheroidizing, and heat treatment. It is used for sandblasting, shot peening, casting cleaning, and surface pretreatment. Its main performance characteristics are high hardness, high recovery rate, uniform impact, and reusability up to 2300 times.
Because its typical content is known to be C 0.6–1.2%, Mn 0.4–1.2%, and Si 0.2–0.8%, and its shape is distinguished by spherical (shot) and angular (grit) forms, it exhibits a gentler impact and is more suitable for shot blasting and fine cleaning than steel grit, resulting in more uniform impact and better surface consistency.
Shot peening/Surface strengthening: S110–S170 (small to medium grit) - Uniform impact, controlling residual compressive stress.
Metal rust removal/Paint removal: S170–S230 (fineer) or mixed grades, removes rust with minimal damage to the substrate.
Casting sand removal / pretreatment coating: S70–S150 (coarser) - high impact, fast cleaning.
