Brown fused alumina (BFA), a representative product in aluminum oxide abrasives, is a high-quality brown fused alumina block primarily produced by melting and sintering bauxite in a high-temperature electric arc furnace. Generally, brown corundum for abrasives and grinding tools, and mostly used for refractory materials, surface treatments, even as a blasting medium. Regarding the chemical composition, the typical component of brown fused alumina is Al₂O₃, with a content generally ≥95%. Brown fused aluminum oxide products, with their excellent refractory properties, are frequently noticed by customers for their use in refractory materials.
