What exactly is brown fused alumina?

Brown Corundum for Water Treatment
High-quality brown fused alumina is manufactured according to ICP/XRF reports (ppm/%) in terms of typical chemical composition and purity. The effective particle size (De) is typically 0.3–1.2 mm (customizable to customer requirements). Its specific gravity is approximately 3.6–3.9 g/cm³, and its bulk density is used to convert volume and loading (kg/m³).
In terms of hardness and abrasion resistance, it exhibits a Mohs hardness of approximately ~9.0, good abrasion/impact resistance, short-term durability, and strong chemical stability. SEM/particle shape images will be provided.
Finally, our company ensures reliable packaging and supply: 25 kg bags or 1 MT bulk bags are available, with clear monthly production capacity and delivery dates.
Brown Corundum for Other Applications
Brown fused alumina can also be used as a selective particle size to achieve ideal surface roughness while maintaining regeneration rate, serving as a sandblasting/polishing medium. The particle size and surface morphology of the filler/carrier determine the compatibility and interfacial adhesion. It can even play an effective role in catalytic/adsorption carrier feeding, but achieving this requires careful attention to purity, surface oxide content, and pulverization rate (to avoid active site contamination).
For initial purchases, we offer: free samples/experiment kits and engineering/formulation support. Furthermore, our company has all the necessary third-party testing certificates (SGS/CTI) and facilitates batch traceability (lot number + test report). The commercial terms clearly specify the contract details, including MOQ, packaging, delivery time, annual production capacity, and other product-related information.
